marking

i love reading my students' blogs! hmm... i think i need to qualify that statement. i love reading MOST of my students' blogs! those that put in effort to think, who really try to follow the rubrics given instead of spewing out generic, politically correct answers. those are the ones worth reading.

and they make me want to discuss the topics too...teenage pregnancy, nuclear testing, bus bays and even green cosmetics. i wish i had more time to engage them in discussion but if i don't want to die from staring at the computer screen i can only point out their good points and areas for improvement and not really engage their minds in it.

so thank God that i teach brillant students who do care about their surroundings (even if it may be just for an english assignment...) will put up their blog addresses here once the marking madness is over. then it'll be just regular back to school madness...preparing lessons and doing RE and learning journey days and BB etc. sometimes i really wonder if teachers are meant to have a life.

but this verse comforts me and gives me strength to continue...like what Rach says, it's always in times of trouble (and marking!) that God is closest to us.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.(Psalm 46:1)

  1. Every student has his/her own abilities to learn . Some take a longer route whereas some take a shorter route. Untimately, its whether hv they put in effort to do their best to achieve their desired result.. We just pray n hope they cn do well esp for their exams .. where most parents always worry abt. Juz Too Bad sg edu sys is much impt for their future career. What matter most is a Teacher has impart their knowledge to their students. edel jiayou!!
