visiting my blog

my personal blog seems to be dying as compared to my work one...is this a reflection of my spiritual life? i guess it's always harder to talk about things that really matter when you're caught up in the busy-ness of things, but today's devotion reminded me that i'm really just an ambassador on this earth:

2 Corinthians 5:14-20 “For the love of Christ constraineth us; ... Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.”

AN ambassador may live in a foreign country, but he does not belong to it. He is there to represent his own country, and no opportunity of helping forward her interests is allowed to pass. We have to represent Christ to the world. The word “constraineth” suggests a constant pressure, an urge, as when water is forced down a certain channel. St. Paul says: “I act as I do because I am under the spell of a mighty constraint; I can do no other; I am not master of myself. Do not wonder at what may seem to be unusual and extravagant. Attribute my eccentricity to Christ—His love actuates me, and bears me along.”

so yes, i need to always keep the end in mind and stop living hand to mouth spiritually!

on a happier note, i'm on track with all the marking. (kinda) and i completed this book called "finishing well" which was very encouraging. hopefully my students will learn from it and be encouraged too!

okie back to marking!
