waiting...

it's nearly midnight now and the hubs still isn't back from work yet! rather than stoning i guess i should update my blog and the recent more cheery happenings in my life!

went to the babyfair today at taka (thanks caleb for the recommendation) and got yet another romper suit! for only 6bucks! judging by the crowd there people are still willing to splurge on babies and their children; it was a madhouse with mostly females snatching up clothes from the racks like they were free...(yours truly was more circumspect and bought only 2 items!) manage to score a nice gift basket for J's colleague because she just gave birth to a girl today! yay!

took a picture of the medala breastfeeding pump and it is truly scary...it looks more like a medieval torture device than a sustenance aid (okay i made that term up...but it sounds way better than breast pump. hmm...what about milk mates? hahaha)

backtracking a little, met Josh Y for lunch today...in true fri the 13th spirit his beautiful amy got a scratch while he was reversing! i'm so sorry!! then again he has a wonderful rear view camera but he claims that it doesn't show the sides clearly and it was pouring while he was doing that difficult manuvoure! we went to botanic gardens because it was the nearest food place and caught up about half a year's worth of living...i'm still very hedda gabler-esque in wanting to know about other people's lives. (wonder if ibsen is turning over in his grave now with my downright irreverant reference to his seminal work. see how A levels sear the text into your brain and never let it go! thankfully gulliver's is not so deeply imprinted, although the Houyhnhnms will always resonate within me with its misanthropic slant...) then again, some people lead mind boggling lives...heh.

sigh it's been 15 minutes of typing and he's still not back....my very kind MIL is waiting up specially to heat dinner for him...she's definitely my inspiration for how to look after my children in the future! we've been joking that we'll have to split her mantle in the future because like elisha we need a double portion to take up her duties (for non-christians please refer to this)

shall wait by the door...
