(finally!) went for Tues prayer meeting again. Dr Fong shared on Colossians, and how even though Paul was imprisoned he was still concerned about the new Christians in Colosse. The congregation and church there was started by Epaphras and not Paul himself, and Dr Fong used that as a point to remind us that it was important to pray for all, not just those who we have personal contact or ties with.
after hearing this, it really reminds me to be more caring towards others. think when we pray we always remember to pray for those whom we know, like our unsaved friends or relatives, but God's kingdom encompasses everyone. so i guess we should also pray and encourage those who we are not familiar with, even though sometimes it feels a little "extra" to talk to them etc.
guess this life is really a journey; once you get too comfortable God sends a reminder that there's always something more out there that we can do for Him!
