weekend fun

thanks to Voilah! (and C's recommendation), we decided to try out Au Petit Salut on Saturday. as a fervent believer of "a picture paints a thousand words", i shall just let the food do the talking!

the yummy bread. okay maybe it was yummy cos we took an hour plus at ICA for J's passport and any food would suffice.

my starter! seared salmon with some pickled stuff on top. because i'm not supposed to eat semi-cooked food J had to finish this for me. great presentation though!

his escargots....yummy esp with above mentioned bread!



my beef onglet. it's an interesting cut (read this) but finishing it took a lot of chewing cos it wasn't as tender as the usual cut. very flavourful though! and the fries were crispy yet moist.

his super yummy fish...i have a terrible habit of coveting my neighbour's food.... thankfully J is willing to share his food with me heh heh

my dessert! chocolate crepe that was so so. sigh

his lemon tart! the ice cream had a hint of mint and i really like the sweet-sour combination! there was real lemon in that cream! (once again he made a better choice. hmph)

we went back home full and happy. yay to lazy saturdays and couple time! (that sounded like a model ending for a primary school composition....)
