half way mark

it's the half way mark and i'm so thankful for all the help and encouragement i've received. it really isn't easy looking after a baby and i'm so glad that so many people have prayed for us.

baby e is slowly falling into a routine now...she wakes up every 2-3hrs for food, smiles a bit then promptly drops off to sleep. thankfully her feeding times have shortened too - from 1 hr to about 30-40mins (every min of sleep counts!!!) during the night, she wakes up about 2-3 times depending on her mood (and how much she drank and/or slept during the day) so i'm the night duty, but when it comes to about 5plus and she fusses her dad will spring awake and bring her to the hall where she can play and look around and generally be peaceful till 7 or 8 when she feeds again.

the next challenge will be to help her differentiate between night and day, though i think she's starting to see a difference (v short feeds during the night and falls asleep almost immediately?) and the ultimate goal will be to help her sleep at least 6 hrs through the night. not easy but it's a goal i hope to reach by the end of 8 weeks!

so yep, that's the verbal updates on my end. for visual updates the usual facebook album applies. am v grateful that J is so on about documenting our daughter's life!
