8 months update

time sure zoomed by... my last entry was about baby e turning and now she can sit up, crawl and even pull herself up! babies are really amazing. They have no sense of danger or failure and tries again until they eventually succeed. Where does it go as we grow up? Do we get burnt by failure and become afraid to try? Or is there a limit to our discovery and so we stop trying? (After all, what is there after walking and running? jumping over obstacles?)

anyway, back to baby e. she's really responsive now and grins widely whenever she sees anyone. she doesn't seem to be afraid of strangers at all..in fact I half suspect she'll follow anybody who offers her food. her 2 bottom teeth are out and 1 is breaking out at the top right hand corner. she's babbling and waving her arms and altogether in a very cute stage of her life now (maybe this cute stage is only in her mummy's eyes...maybe she'll be cute to me forever!) i love coming back from work and seeing her run excitedly towards me in her walker, i love seeing her half awake look in the morning and i love hugging her little squirmy person!

unfortunately, she's still a needy baby when night falls. come nighttime, she just want to nurse and nurse and nurse and cries soon after i try to slip away to do my own thing. so nights aren't my own anymore. thank God i have my iphone to keep me company in the dark room, if not i would be really bored to death!!

one day, i hope she'll suddenly look up at me, smile and blissfully go to sleep. and then i'll smile, stand in the hall and do a victory dance and reclaim my nights!
