back from cambodia, and although it was a good trip, i am VERY glad to be back in singapore! think it's the niggling feeling of being responsible for 20 lives that prevented me from really enjoying myself there, and the nitty gritty of assigning people their jobs/lessons/duties etc. but on the whole the boys really benefited from the trip, so thank God for that!
the nightly sermons by the 2 Joneses were also pretty good and i think the message that struck me the most was about the indifference of youth. it's an excuse that i've been using with regards to my students, that if they don't mess up then i shouldn't be too worried about them, but i suppose it's the heart attitude, that i should really want them to learn what i have to teach them, and encourage them to do their best. so for next semester i shall do my best to influence each and everyone of them, although it really can't be done unless i have God's grace, since i tend to get impatient easily. :(
off to enjoy my holidays proper now this is the best part of being a teacher heh
