finally caught Shakespeare in Love on cable today...it really brings to life the passion and emotion in Romeo and Juliet, and makes me fall in love (pardon the pun) with Shakespeare all over again...his plays really must be acted out and not just read from the text...
Guess teaching the text took away some of the excitement and love for me...especially when you have to explain how it works and why it works etc...I wonder if I've really passed on the passion for lit to others...esp when I look back and think that I didn't do enough to really make them fall in love with it...
I miss the thrill of reading good lit.
